Instrumental and Vocal Lesson Scheduling Process
Age:  6 - Adult (Instrumental), 10 - Adult (Vocal)
Individual lessons are conducted in one 25-minute session per week.  Once the student is registered, Charisma Centre for the Arts will assign an instructor.  The instructor will contact the student or his/her parents to schedule lesson times.  Students need to practice at least 15 minutes per day between lessons. Piano students should have available a piano or keyboard with 88 weighted keys. Private instrumental lessons include: piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar and flute.

*** Private Lesson Cancellation Policy*** IMPORTANT

Lessons canceled by the instructor will be rescheduled within the term.  Lessons canceled by the student are rescheduled at the discretion of the instructor, provided that prior notice is given to the instructor.  Prior notice includes at least 24-hour advance notification, unless there is an emergency situation.  Students who are "no shows" are not guaranteed a rescheduled lesson.  A student arriving more than 5 minutes late to a lesson will be considered absent and counted as a "no show". 

Lesson and Class Preparation Standard
Students are expected to come to lessons prepared.  Preparation includes having all appropriate lesson materials available for each lesson (i.e. lesson books and assignment notebooks); adequate practice prior to the lesson; hands properly cleaned before the lesson; fingernails neatly trimmed to a comfortable playing length as determined by the instructor; no gum, candy or other consumables are allowed as part of the lesson time.
